That's a terrible strategy. Everyone gets seasonal boosters -- and then a deadly variant arises that kills tens of millions.

[Seasonal boosters targeting variants] is a far better strategy than permanent lockdowns for the next 10,000 years in a futile attempt to eradicate a disease that is endemic in human and animal population.

You haven't offered a better strategy except fearmonger that boosters will created variants, ignoring the fact that there is 7 billion humans and 100Trillion bats, dogs, cats, gorillas, deers, flies, leopards, and other animal hosts that can create variants as well.

Should the people advocating the booster-and-opening-up strategy, such as yourself, be arrested for the mass murder?
Should the people advocating for permanent lockdowns for next 10,000 years despite booster technology significantly reducing hospitalization and death, be tried for aiding the economic containment of China and treason against Chinese nation?

Remember, you want China to abandon a program that is known to WORK. Should we hold you personally responsible if your alternative kills millions?
Remember, you are advocating for permanent lockdowns for the next 10,000 years to eradicate a disease that is known to most scientists as endemic and impossible to eradicate. You should be personally responsible for keeping China back economically for the next 10,000 years when booster technology has a real change of significantly reducing hospitalization and death.

I am ignoring the rest of your comment; I want to keep this reply short.
It's easy to fearmonger about variants when you selectively cherry pick your responses and argue against a strawman by misrepresenting others positions.

Obviously sometime (I dont know when), the world will eventually have to bite the bullet and move from Covid.

Now if you ask me, is the time now, I will say no. Delta variant is sufficiently threatening that "live with Covid" wont work, until we have a booster shot specifically targetting it. And then, who knows if we will have another more threatening variant?...

Honestly, it is a mess. I dont envy the job of the politicians who will decide between the epidemiologists and the economists. Eventually a balance must be found, however for bow the zero-Covid strategy is ok

The seasonal booster strategy is always evolving to new variants. The goal shouldn't be eradication, the goal should be getting as many people vaccinated and predicting the most dominant lethal strain. With mRNA soon in China, the turnaround time is much faster and scalability is higher and antibody specificity much better than inactivated equivalent.

A Zero COVID strategy makes sense until everyone is vaccinated with a 2nd-gen vaccine and boosters targeting new variants, but as a Permanent Zero COVID strategy, hell no, that will be QUAD's wet-dream of self-containing China.

Wang announced an additional 3 million Chinese vaccine doses for Vietnam by the end of the year, bringing the total doses promised to 5.7 million.
Vietnam is an embarrassment. Boggles my mind that it is so stingy with its money that it mostly asks about donations.

Good luck, and it should had less racism towards Chinese vaccines. Now it suffers the consequences

Some people said Vietnam and Taiwan did well because they distrust and hate China. Never mind the fact that by their logic a certain country far away should've been #1, since they're also #1 in xenophobia and racism. But if its true that racism against Chinese gives you immunity to COVID how come Vietnam and Taiwan are where they are now?

That's the price of ideological nonsense.

Taiwan and Vietnam did well at first because they had a cooperative population that obeyed lockdown rules. However, they failed to implement proper contact tracing and border control, resulting in an inability to entirely clear the infection. Therefore, when the population eventually grew weary of lockdown, their covid defenses collapsed.
