Oh this gonna be good...

LOL, someone better revoke her degrees.

OK, coming back after a messy month of grant application, figuring out how to do virtual classes and virtual proctoring, etc. A whole lot of mess...

Anyways, we've had thousands of, maybe tens of thousands of, genome sequences of various strains of the virus from all around the world. Sequence of the original virus isolated from bats is also known. So what difference does her sequence make?

Remember the good ole days where they said China lies and can never be trusted...? I'll tell you that the media is embarrassed because they drank the Kool-Aid in the beginning bragging and reporting that the US was number one in handlings outbreaks. Everything has been completely the opposite of what they thought. They contributed to the chaos and they still don't want to call a spade a spade.

So the Trump Administration has been manipulating the CDC reports all summer. Nothing is sacred anymore. All US government agencies have become blatant political tool and have no credibility. Here is an excerpt from the article.

"CDC officials have fought back against the most sweeping changes, but have increasingly agreed to allow the political officials to review the reports and, in a few cases, compromised on the wording, according to three people familiar with the exchanges. The communications aides’ efforts to change the language in the CDC’s reports have been constant across the summer and continued as recently as Friday afternoon.

The CDC's

are authored by career scientists and serve as the main vehicle for the agency to inform doctors, researchers and the general public about how Covid-19 is spreading and who is at risk. Such reports have historically been published with little fanfare and no political interference, said several longtime health department officials, and have been viewed as a cornerstone of the nation's public health work for decades.

But since Michael Caputo, a former Trump campaign official with no medical or scientific background, was

as the Health and Human Services department's new spokesperson, there have been substantial efforts to align the reports with Trump's statements, including the president's claims that fears about the outbreak are overstated, or stop the reports altogether.

Caputo and his team have attempted to add caveats to the CDC's findings, including an effort to retroactively change agency reports that they said wrongly inflated the risks of Covid-19 and should have made clear that Americans sickened by the virus may have been infected because of their own behavior, according to the individuals familiar with the situation and emails reviewed by POLITICO. She could not get it published in any peer reviewed journal of any nation so she accused them of censorship. I have to be honest; I could not read the whole thing because it was too long, boring, and pointless without any summary points that made sense. I think the main defense of this article against scrutiny is being too long and dull to read. Good writing is concise and to the point; good scientific papers can be understood just by reading the abstract and figures. This is a dump-yard of an article and I suspect we will soon see a flurry of rebuttals to it from people who wish to take the time to do so.
