US still refuse to wear masks. But I have weak immune system and if i wear mask as Asian man when everyone else is white I'm probably going to get my ass beat.
There is no mask in CVS store or wallmart for months now. Government stop distributing those mask weeks ago. I work in Pharma company and just today my manager asked the team to reuse the mask due to short shortage and soon they are closing the lab for non essential testing. Most of the team will be working from home for couple of days now until things get better.

all mask are sold out, so even if people want to wear it, they can't. i know alot chinese and chinese descendants bought alot mask in jan and send back to china. i think i bought at least 200 mask in jan for my in-law to take back and given to their family members. i probably should save few for my family but now its out of stock everywhere, same with hand sanitizer, same with toilet and tissue paper. this morning eggs start going down pretty fast in grocery store too, everybody is stocking up on essential. oh rice and flour is gone too at local stores. its crazy, never seen so many empty shelves in costco and kroger.

It's just wrong to tell people they shouldn't wear masks unless infected.

People should be allowed to wear it without being stigmatized.

I have stocked up with masks intended for flu and allergy but not going to wear them since a few unfriendly encounters in the early days. I have been avoiding crowds for the last few weeks. I always keep at least three to six months of toilet paper, cleaning products, and tissue paper so never needed to stock up for them except some frozen foods. It is pretty scary out here since yesterday for Costco and BJ's wholesales.

People feels like they can buy the freedom from the illness by spending money for toilet paper, foodstuff and so on.

But it is just one step on the ladder of grief .
It is the bargaining, the feeling like with money you can buy your life.

Best part of the population have to develop immunity.
And it is possible only if best part of the population catch it.

There is no other way.
