This report is about Zhong Nanshan's speech during 第二届大湾区（深圳）疫苗峰会. The second great bay area (Shenzhen) vaccine summit held in early December in Shenzhen.
Searching through the internet, there is NOT a single Chinese report on this conference saying that Zhong Nanshan "urged China to learn from the west about mRNA vaccine."
The only time that Zhong mentioned mRNA was together with other vaccines.
谈及疫苗全程接种后的加强针情况时，钟南山表示，两剂灭活疫苗接种后，接种第三剂原疫苗有效，并在真实世界证明有临床保护性增强。同时，两剂灭活病毒疫苗接种后，接种mRNA疫苗、亚单位蛋白疫苗、腺病毒载体疫苗均有显效。
Translation "After two doses of inactivated vaccine, a third booster dose of the same type is effective, and has been proven in the real world. In the mean time, after two doese of inactivated vaccine, taking mRNA, sub-unit protin vaccine or Recombinant vaccine as the booster also shows observable effect".
This places mRNA no better than anything else. Also watch his wording, he used "observable effect" instead of affirmative "effective". This is to say that "different type booster" has effect but not backed by real world data yet.
The "advantage" that Zhong said is
不过，钟南山强调，接种异种类型疫苗效果可能更佳，但需要在真实世界进一步观察其保护率，才能证明。
Translation, "Zhong emphasize using different vaccine as the booster may be more effective, but need real world observation."
The "advantage" is a maybe and not proven yet, nor limited to any specific technology.
At no time, did Zhong said anything that SCMP article claimed he said. This SCMP report is total BS, deliberately twisting truth. Once again I call SCMP a habitual lair and fake news fabricator.

I think its up to the arrival country to ask for departure covid test. Eating outside (not facing each other, both face same direction looking at something ) is an option, just make sure it's not communal food style
That is why you need the third dose of mRNA vaccine or any other vaccine. How many doses of Sinovac or Sinopharm have you received so far?
Just to note, this refers to if you are vaccinated with 2-doses. If you take a booster it massively increases protection
Anyway, this is too early to draw conclusions. The media shouldn't be allowed to publish such studies when there isn't enough data available
