BTW, does anyone know if Clover applied for approval of use in Australia? I know they did a trial in Australia and applied for use in Europe. Personally, I prefer Clover to Novavax. Novavax has a very strong adjuvant that causes a very strong side effect.

Clover's IPO material states they are applying for EUA with China, EU and WHO. Not sure it's worth the hassle for them to apply for Australian EUA.

Livzon is now running Phase III trials for V-01 in Russia and Indonesia as standalone vaccine, in addition to Philippines (as standalone vaccine) and Pakistan (as booster).

I heard part of the radio conversation that Covid numbers have fallen away in Japan with zero deaths in the last day despite a vaccination rate of only 70%. Some people have put this down to something having gone wrong with the mutating /replicating process and thus a mutation with a flawed makeup has led to a weakened ability to infect people has emerged. The radio host was reading from an article giving an in depth scientific explanation as to why this has happened but after a cursory search, I have not been able to find the article.

It is from the research by Ituro Inoue, a professor at the National Institute of Genetics in Japan. The key suspicion is as you said "mutation too fast, piling up more errors faster than it can correct during replication." However, as I understand it does not weaken its ability to infect, it just has less chance to reproduce. The reduced reproduction eventually killed its population.

BUT, here is the problem as the professor said. The delta variant in Japan killed themselves while kept other variant out. The absence of delta gives other and newer variant free entrance. So I don't see any good news from this new development. It is just a discovery that is too early to say its implication.
“There’s clearly a threat,” he said. “We have been all right because there was a delta variant. Other variants sneaked in little by little but Japan’s delta was keeping them away. But because there’s nothing now to keep them at bay, there’s room for new ones to enter as the vaccines alone would not solve the problem. In that sense, I think the quarantine measures for immigration control are very important because we never know what comes in from foreign countries.”

Covid vaccine that creates T-cells ‘gives better immune response than current jabs’

A new vaccine designed to specifically create

produces a better immune response than the alternatives already in use, according to trial data.

The CoVac-1 jab has been developed and made by academics at the University of Tubingen, in Germany.

The cells form part of the immune response to

and often work in tandem with antibodies. However, while antibody levels often

and need boosting, T-cells have the ability to stay in the bloodstream for several years.

This is remarkable. Nobody in the trial got Covid.

They're just looking at the data as it is without any kind of scientific analysis. Malaysia started off the vaccination with mostly Sinovac with the older groups of people first follow progressively by the younger groups and in cities and towns at a time and place when the outbreak was beginning to get out of control. The comparison is bound to be skewed if an older group vaccinated mostly with Sinovac is lumped together with a younger group mostly vaccinated with Pfizer in that kind of very unscientific analysis.

Also, consider that an unvaccinated much younger group can have a much better fatality rate outcome than a group of the vaccinated older groups.
