It's really impossible to control the messaging at this point.
You have doctors and officials in many countries, Seychelles, Indonesia, Chile, Brazil, Mongolia, etc. all calling for calm and understanding that a vaccine's primary action is to mitigate serious symptoms. Whether people want to listen or not, it is up to them.
True, it doesn't help that the media is fueling this speculation, but this is the nature of western media. You are either massaging the message or pushing clicks for cash.
In the end, the only hope is for common sense to win. The truth is simple, China cannot force other countries to take their vaccines, China does not have the power to bribe and corrupt so many officials in so many countries, so people will just have to see the reality that the vaccines are being used because they have a benefit.
What is really interesting is how much further down the rabbit hole American self-styled conservatives are against other countries. In Alberta, considered the most conservative of Canadian provinces, 75% have at least a dose and 60% of 12+ are fully vaccinated. Compare it to Texas or Florida which have higher rates of vaccination amongst Republican states are only about 60+% for 1st doses. This is despite having almost a 2 month head start in supply.
Wow Xinhua is actually getting some what decent at the propaganda game. Sure, the presentation is still a bit stilted and the laugh track definitely needs to go, but this beats their previous efforts (grabbing random Uighur grandpas off the street to hurl insults at Mike Pompeii, ahem) by light years. If I were a random American surfing YouTube I might actually watch the whole thing.
For most of the conservative Republican States, peer pressure is the main factor that forced many people to postpone and delay vaccinating themselves. Many Republicans in those states are afraid that they would be ostracized by the community if they got vaccinated that is how crazy things are in certain part of the US.

I couldn't find any Malaysian sources that has indicated Malaysia will no longer use Sinovac. Because according to Malaysian news, only the northern Malaysian state of Kelantan, has indicated that it will no longer use Sinovac, but the state did not explain the reasons behind its decision.
Furthermore, Pharmaniaga, a local Malaysian pharmaceutical company is already the sole distributor of Sinovac in Malaysia, both in fill-and-finish and finished forms. Instead of stopping the use of Sinovac, as lied to by Western propaganda, Pharmaniaga has sped up its delivery of the vaccine to the Federal Government, in view of the worsening COVID situation in the country, soon to deliver 12.4 million doses of Sinovac vaccine in July.
Pharmaniaga also indicated that they are "...prepared to provide an additional supply of the vaccine as requested by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin," and was also "...prepared to supply the vaccine to the state governments and private sector after completing its supply to the Federal Government."
Freaking western liars.
Also, as a side note, the sentiments on the ground, as far as the local ethnic Chinese Malaysians are concerned, most are favouring the Sinovac vaccine, due to the perception of fewer side effects.

Presumably the national vaccination program will not include Sinovac as of July 18, however, private clinics will still be able to use them .... Something similar to Singapore

I guess we shall see in the coming hours, as all I can confirm from that link is that the state of Kelantan has decided to stop using Sinovac, and that's according to an interview the vaccine minister, Khairy, had with The Vibes.
One should not discount the long established relationship between local health officials and multi-national pharmaceuticals that influence such decisions. In many countries (including Malaysia), senior health officials or doctors have deep linkage with the drug companies as relationships have been cultivated over many years (even generations) . They have personally benefitted financially when newly developed drugs are being used in their countries on trial basis.
