Doctors in India have urged people not to smear themselves with cow poo in an effort to ward off coronavirus. Medical officials said there is no scientific evidence behind the practice and warned that it risks spreading other diseases.

In the western state of Gujarat, some people have turned to cow shelters to cover their bodies in cow dung and urine once a week, in the hope that it will boost their immunity or help them recover from the virus.

So the Japanese too, buy into the hype that Sinovac has only a 50% efficacy rate?

It's a relatively good report. Still, some more accurate information will be better:

Project S used the CoronaVac vaccine developed by Sinovac Biotech. Trials in Brazil and Chile suggested that the shot was about 50% effective at preventing symptomatic infection, a far cry from the 90%-plus rates achieved by Pfizer and Moderna.

Apple to orange comparison. The comparable CoronaVac efficacy rate is probably around 80%.

As I have said in my previous post, Vietnam was on the verge of an outbreak while its vaccination program was still so low but the hatred toward China makes it has no choice for vaccines.

I checked data today, there were 76 new cases, lower than the 129 cases on Monday, mostly in northern provinces. Vietnam has been praised for its Covid containment by centralized quarantine and police-style of contact tracking. For the recent outbreak, they announced that they have found 4 F0 (4 sources of the outbreak), means that it's easier to contain the virus from now on.

However, I think this is short term measurement (India should do this). You are just like a goal keeper, a very good goal keeper in Vietnam's case. You catch a hundred balls but if you miss one, there would be still an outbreak. Vaccination should be the only long term solution.

This gouging or profiteering on disaster is despicable act. I feel bad for Indian masses that is what you got if you have incompetent government. Chinese people suffer the same calamity under Kuomintang glad they get rid of it with huge sacrifice

Chinese oxygen concentrator suppliers are upset and saddened by price-gouging of anti-virus devices such as theirs in the Indian market, calling the move a deviation from their original humanitarian intention.

Many Chinese producers have exported oxygen making items to India at below-market prices by working extra shifts for timely delivery, even during the recent May Day holiday, to ensure the much-needed goods are delivered to those who badly need them, industry insiders said.

Media reports said the Delhi Police announced on Sunday that a company named Matrix Cellular Services was accused of black marketing oxygen concentrators. The company allegedly procured more than 7,000 concentrators from local vendors and Chinese companies before selling them at "exorbitant rates" to COVID-19 patients and their families, The Indian Express reported on Monday.
