Look at the glee with which India's COVID surge is reported in U.S. media.

@Phead128 you noticed that too bro, I thought I'm the only one...LOL Yup being number 1 is tiring and they are happy that India had taken the baton and the way they reported it as though they 're over the hump, what happen in India now is surreal but it is the same thing happen last year in NY and other parts of American.

The US article is very nuanced and detailed, whereas the India article is super heavy-hitting, blunts, sweeping generalizations.

That is the difference between how US media reports problems abroad/overseas vs. how they report it domestically. They are so relieved they can talk down to Indians and others are #1 worse place on earth. You can sense it in the Indian article.

The US article is very nuanced and detailed, whereas the India article is super heavy-hitting, blunts, sweeping generalizations.

If new variants that are resistant to the current vaccines start showing up then the whole world is in deep poo.

This is why I think mRNA tech is so important. You can immediately change the vaccine "code" and start manufacturing the new vaccine targeting the variants next day

I cant emphasize enough how important it is for China to have their own mRNA vaccines production ready to go. China should throw money around to accelerate (if possible) its own mRNA development and phase trials. This is super important


Also, maybe India should stop with their ego and accept help from China. It is in the world's interest that India's situation is brought under control.

China has been developing mRNA vaccine. Currently it's undergoing Phase III trials.

Trump must be fuming that this didn't happen before the elections last year. He'd have an excuse if it did.

Only India could save India. No external power could do it. Not even China and not the US and other advanced countries
