Covid-19 pandemic: China 'refused to give data' to WHO team

Published1 hour ago

China refused to hand over key data to the World Health Organization (WHO) team investigating the origins of Covid-19, one of its members has said.
Microbiologist Dominic Dwyer told Reuters, the Wall St Journal and the New York Times the team requested raw patient data from early cases, what he called "standard practice",
He said they only received a summary.
China has not responded to the allegation but has previously insisted it was transparent with the WHO.
The US has urged China to make available data from the earliest stages of the outbreak, saying it has "deep concerns" about the WHO report.
Last week, the WHO team concluded

Wuhan was the first place in the world where the virus was detected, in late 2019. Since then, more than 106 million cases and 2.3 million deaths have been reported worldwide

The team had requested raw patient data on 174 cases that China had identified from the early phase of the outbreak in the city of Wuhan in December 2019, as well as other cases, but were only provided with a summary, Dominic Dwyer, an Australian infectious diseases expert who is a member of the WHO team, told Reuters.

Oh fuck that aussie cuck. Kickem all out.

Did they even request for further details after being given a summary? That wasn't clarified in the article.

Instead the aussie cuck decides to talk to the media and backstab/smear China.

Even if China gave them data, the media be like "FAKE DATA"

What did you expect, US media takes marching orders from DOD/CIA etc... mouthpiece of the government in fact lots of their writers are on gov payroll, nyt openly admits they have to get US gov approval before publishing controversial articles etc

Bloomberg is repeatings its supermicro "story" again... if you do some research you find the original story was given to bloomberg by the CIA as a fake plant to smear China all part of the larger US tech decoupling and its containment of Chinese technology advancement

Remember the undercover CIA writers publishing fake news stories during the Iraq wars? Now its gone international...

America views China as the central threat now, so anything goes in war, esp infowar... you dont really think US hegemony is going to let a little thing like truth, objectivity, facts, true freedom of press, true freedom of speech, get in the way now did you?

I think they should provide such data. When we publish our studies, everything related to these published work must be available to whomever wants to see it. We must sign forms to agree that we must provide detailed information on ALL materials used in our studies. All recipes and ingredients of our reagents (if we make them ourselves), along with company names, catalogue numbers and even batch numbers (along with expiration dates) of all purchased materials, must be provided. When someone contacts us and requests some of our reagents, DNA, proteins, cell lines, animal models, etc, we must provide them openly and freely. Everything and anything related to the published work must be openly available to everyone. This has been the custom. If we all agree that everything should be done scientifically, then they need to adhere to the accepted rules.

At one time, we submitted our manuscript to a journal, a reviewer suggested that we should put all our raw microscopic images on the journal's server. That's over a thousand images that almost no one will ever look at again. Yet, it is our responsibility to openly share all our materials. So we did exactly as the reviewer suggested. It is our duty to do so.
But the data in question is not research of vaccine that WHO need for "approval" to include in their COVAX program. It is data of the early COVID-19 cases in China. Does WHO charter require any member state to provide any data of such? The point is that China should not be treated as some sort of defendant in a tribunal. China should not be treated any different than other countries. If China is to provide such data, every other country should do so as well, start with USA, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy etc. Note, USA is still a member of WHO until July 6th 2021. Otherwise, I would like to see WSJ to publish an article "Exclusive: USA, UK etc. refuse to give WHO raw data of COVID-19 cases".

So no, China should not give anything until all the countries above pledged to do the same.

Questions arising here:

Why did the chinese government refused to provide raw patient data from early cases?
Why didnt the WHO made this refusal public?
Would this data had altered the WHO findings?

Also, this is the statement from US national security advisor Jake Sullivan:

  • Why did WHO not request the same data from USA and UK etc.? Or why did USA and UK not provide such data to WHO about the new variant, or the spike of new cases recently?
  • Why should this "refusal" to be public? Or is there such "refusal" at all?
  • Is this "refusal" to a SINGLE political charged American member of WHO? Or a refusal of WHO's official request?
  • Why do you think this data is even relevant? Or why should there even be such WHO visit in Wuhan to begin with? Isn't the whole thing of "Wuhan lab leak" being the reason of WHO being there? Do you really believe the "lab leak" for a moment? For most of us, it is a 100% conspiracy hoax from day one. For the same reason, the US army lab deserve more investigation than Wuhan lab.
Who give a rat ass of what US official says?! They are the ones fabricated and propagated the conspiracy theory in the first place.

This is typical Western election campaign tactics. Seize any opportunity to throw dirt on your opponent and never let up.

China should simply refuse to engage them. China is not in a popularity contest. Let the Western media echo chamber bleat out whatever they wish. Do not explain, do not acknowledge. If asked about it, just answer "fake news".

West (and esp US) loves to talk that good shit about "personal responsibility" and "rugged individualism," reality is that they're the bitchiest of all. Can never be wrong, can't handle any suffering like those snowflakes at capitol hill.

We East Asians tend to blame ourselves for everything. Maybe we should learn to start complaining more.

What's that saying? Babies who don't cry don't get milk?

Any investigations/conclusions on COVID origins within Chinese territory should be made by Chinese scientists for the sole purpose of preventing future outbreaks in China. China has no obligation to the rest of the world on this issue.

That's what you can expect from the state-propaganda BBC. It ignored the WHO Team's findings and have to quote from the Australian member ,Dominic Dwyer, who is biased and have already reached an "Australian" conclusion.
