I have Windows 7 on my laptop and Windows 8 on desktop at office. Windows 7 is solid and reliable. You can compare Windows 7 to an F-15 while Windows 8/.1 is an F-35. Now, I expect Windows 10 to be an F-22. Windows 10 inherits the reliability of Windows 7 while not compromise the luxury of Windows 8. It's a new Windows 7.

This is what I've got so far. Don't know how long to wait...

We've seen varies Chinese military branches (be it ships or missile control room, UAV control center or research institutes) using what looks like windows operation systems from pictures and videos. And question about their security due to backdoors with the microsoft systems.

Maybe they are not using your normal windows operation systems afterall, it could be a China-made OS like NeoKylin. Which looks and feel like the windows XP system.

Does anyone know about VR goggles like Oculus Rift? Do they work on any first person viewer games or are games made for them?

Games have to be fitted for them or the goggles won't work since it requires a special screen field adaptation and requires a right/left differential to make it 3D. It also requires a man-machine interface so the movement of the neck and eyes will be registered to make the field of view change.

Has been using quite a few generations of Samsung smart phones, today I'll give a try to the Huawei smart phone; the Huawei Mate 8. A bit confusing as I've got used to with Samsung's and found that there seems to be very few apps out of the box. However, the phone runs very smoothly. My version has 2.3Ghz Squad Core CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory.

I've been using Samsung smart phones for quite a while, and I have always had a good experience with them. I once tried a cheap ZTE phone and it wasn't very good at all!

I don't like the fact that Samsung put quite a few preinstalled apps on their phones, which you can't remove (certainly without root) - for example, I don't need ChatOn because I have the Messaging app and Google Talk/Hangouts. I don't need "Samsung Apps" because I have the Google Play Store. And some of the apps (i.e. Samsung Hub, Samsung link, Story Album etc) have never been used and I have no intention of using them either. At least they haven't preinstalled Facebook and Twitter on there, which one of my devices did! (was it my Versus Touchtab tablet, or my ZTE Blade phone?)

I've been using Samsung for the past 4 to 5 years. There are things which are good and bad about the brand. For example; the pros: the interface are user friendly, reasonable price, easy to sell out when you want to change phone. the coin: battery drain fast, quality drops quickly after a year of use, get hot on intensive use...

I'd never tried a ZTE though, so I have nothing to comment about this. Huawei is also the first Chinese phone I've ever used. If you don't like the preinstall apps on Samsung, then this Huawei almost comes with an empty phone. When I first turn on the device, I was surprise "where are all the apps!". I still observing what is good and what is bad about this Mate 8.

One more point, with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, I take photo of the new 100 dollar note and zoom in to clearly read the words "The United States of America" on Franklin's collar. The camera of the Mate 8 can't do this or maybe I don't how to set that option.
