Models of UUVs on display at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia.

A TV segment/report hints at submarine launched UUVs.

Bionic manta ray UUVs developed by Northwestern Polytechnical University. They are covered with an innovative elastic skin and mimics the swimming motions of manta rays, which enables a high-degree of endurance compared to traditional UUVs.

UUV300CB is equipped with satellite communication, UHF, and an optronic periscope that enables target detection, identification, surveillance. It can also deploy mines or small UUVs. UUV300CD features two torpedo tubes. Both variants apparently has a VLS for launching small missiles.

This is very interesting.
Now, a smaller country can get submarine capability with potentially smaller commitment than in the past.
I do wonder what the endurance is for something like this
Also, a purely electric driven UUV should be pretty quiet. I'd assume it's quite a bit less noisy than 140dB

Is 140dB a mistake? It is louder than a military jet aircraft taking off from an aircraft carrier deck.

Yeah, especially when the quoted cruising speed is 5 kts

If you're deaf, then you also can't hear nothing.
Maybe they mean minus 140dB.

Covert Shores article on newly seen UUV. He says China is leading in this new technology.
