Otter claims that J-6 suicide drones have been retired.
amazing, if they actually get replaced by GJ-11, then the long period of testing and evaluation has finally completed in the drone test ranges. Or at least they've reached a certain threshold

I guess it does make sense since Type 076 should join service over the next year and we'd expect GJ-21 to join service sometime after that. GJ-11 would need to be in service before then.

According to the post..

"The "Star Shadow" UAV is 7.3 meters long, has a wingspan of 15 meters, and is 1.84 meters high. The built-in weapon bay in the belly is 2.5 meters long, 0.76 meters wide, and 0.7 meters high. The empty weight is 2,100 kilograms, the maximum take-off weight is 4,000 kilograms, and the payload is 400 kilograms. The power unit is a TWS800 small turbofan engine specially designed and produced by a brother company for use in UAVs. It weighs 200 kilograms, has a dry thrust of 7,500 Newtons, a cruising thrust of 2,000 Newtons, a maximum flight speed of 698 kilometers per hour, a cruising speed of 400-600 kilometers per hour, a flight time of 10-12 hours, a control radius of 2,000 kilometers, a ceiling of 15,000 meters, a cruising altitude of 12,000 meters, and a radar cross-sectional area of 0.1 square meters."
