Cross-posting from the Engine Development thread, as it's relevant here. This year's Zhuhai show has revealed lot of information on domestic engines for UAVs.

Feihong series of piston engines for UAVs.

$5 million drone to drop dumb bombs seems a bit misguided? Hopefully it's just a demonstration of payload capacity rather than a serious use case. You can probably achieve the same result with a swarm of much cheaper industrial DJI drones.

$5 million? That doesn't sound right. WingLoong-1's going price was $1 million when it was first sold to overseas customers.
Ah, I was going off what the above poster (test1979) mentioned about the pricing, $5 million yuan seems to be about the ballpark for a drone of this size and capability.
