That toy looked very much like one that can easily be found... even in ebay for less than US$1k.

But seriously I wondered at the durability of this type of system.

Sorry, but hopefully I understand Your post correctly: You say this airfield where these two new UAV's were spotted is the same airfield, which operates the BZK-005 ??? ... which means Shahe AB !?

Deino

I was just saying the Chinese are not known to care for the grounds of their airfields. The only base that seemed they kept the grounds manicured was the BZK-500 airfield. I don't believe those are same airfields.

I think the grounds on the airfield was done on purposely to look kind of shabby as to avoid attention from spy satellites and such.

I believe DJI is a Chinese company, the website says their HQ is in Shenzhen.

My question is does a UAV of that size have that kind of range. Those shots are pretty high up. The site where I got those shots said the UAV was captured by the rebels so that brings up a lot of questions if true.

Interesting that their "about" page mentions nothing about having an HQ in shenzhen (which would naturally lead one to believe they are a chinese company).

Brand power?

DJI Innovations is a Western company. It's CEO is Colin Guinn. There's a video here

.

It's not uncommon for Western companies to set up their headquarters in China. A big one is Wison Engineering, dealing among other things, power generation.

BTW, their webpage has a western feel to it. The font, layout, etc.
