Pardon, but your post sounds as if you are confusing a lot: JL-15 (so far not an official desugnation), L-15 & JL-10 are externally the same Aircraft, one for export, the other for the PLAAF … and Care to explain how they should differ „Due to training requirements over the marine areas it has enhanced characteristics to operate above the sea“ since per my understanding they differ at least airframe-wise in nothing?!
China uses JL-10 and L-15. UAE used in local language JeemLaam ie JL-15 . Due to harsh climate and to use it in ocean evironment they wanted engines and intakes system of aircraft carrier L-15 but not the naval version. So they have even different radar and tracking system. It is for training only. But later on they want USA trainer aircraft. If U check with German defense correspondents in middle East, they may shed more light. I am in delicate position to elaborate further. Plz

China uses JL-10 and L-15 designation. UAE used in local language JeemLaam ie JL-15 for trainer jets. Due to harsh climate and to use it in ocean evironment they wanted engines and intakes system of aircraft carrier L-15 but did not want the naval version. So they have got even different radar and tracking system. It is for training only. But later on they want USA trainer aircraft T-7. UAE wants to train it's pilots in coastal areas. They want to have trainers to work for longer years and don't want it to be effected by the factors impinged by ocean conditions. If U check with German defense correspondents in middle East, they may shed more light. I am in delicate position to elaborate further. Plz
