Great find Deino! Too bad the images are blurry, the engine really caught my eye, it looks a lot 'shinier' than the usual dull grey I see on WP-13 variants but the photos are too blurry to make out any specific details

Lol is shinny nozzle the new rubric for domestic engines now?

Note the extra-drooped nose, bigger Vertical fins, and reduced Ventral fins

and the DSI intake...

CAS variant makes sense since there is no more cheap lightweight attack aircraft anymore in chinese inventory for any third world country and these are still china primary market

Beats me :V Like I said the engine is too hard to see to make any sort of statement, its probably just a WP-13 variant. This earlier JL-9 seems to have the same engine but I have seen others to, all in all it seems there isn't really any choice since the WS-12 project is dead as far as I know as is the WP-14

It sure looks like a DSI bump but the images were so blurry that we can't say for sure

looks like a carrier trainer variant to me.

Yes, reportedly called JL-9H ... but guys, are You sure that this one has a DSI ????
