Chinese Sub Strategy

The PLAN has a very well stocked inventory of submarines, so here is a question for you.

If China become involved in a major conflict against an enemy with a significant maritime operation/dependancy, how would China's submarines be best deployed and employed?

By emulating the way the Germans used their submarines, but I doubt man for man whether they would be as well trained or display the same competency in the officer ranks.
