Yes that timeline sounds right.
This is a Sino-German joint research of a new generation Light Source.
Trumpf, the German partner to ASML would probably get access to this research.
Trumpf supplies Laser Amplifiers to ASML for its EUVL.
So i would assume that Trumpf/ASML would be looking into this new technology as well.
It will probably end up being a race to see who, CTEC/SMEE or ASML will first develop the next generation EUVL with a new Light Source.
Thanks @WTAN so who owned the IP, since it is being research in China, they should owned it.

Texas cheaped out on electric grid infrastructure and this caused the blackouts that caused Samsung to lose chips

When I clicked on your link, Youtube gave me an old video (uploaded 2016) on the GoPro.
This is not the first time that I have seen a controversial video on that site replaced by garbage.

What a bunch of bologne.
Chinese played a critical role in US semiconductor industry. Now every Chinese is viewed as a threat. So, US just lost a key element. A big void. No other ethnic groups can step up and take the void
Indians are more IT than semiconductor.
According to some, Intel hired some Indians in charge of development, and now see how they are lagging behind tsmc in fabrication.

It does seem to be a pattern that upper-caste Indians are recreating the caste system in Silicon Valley and that the problem is getting worse.

And once you have that sort of tribal culture, nepotism triumphs over ability.

If that has happened to the engineering department at Intel, I don't see how they will be able to match TSMC or Samsung, which are run by engineers from Confucian meritocracies that don't have a caste system.

You see the promotion but towards the end the video intercuts with clips of owners' videos of the Karma flying and crashing to the ground for no reason. I believe it's correct.

Chinese GPU design firm Moore Thread raises billions in financing 100 days after founding-CnTechPost

Moore Thread, a Chinese GPU chip design company, announced on February 25 that it has raised two rounds of funding totaling billions of RMB.
The Pre-A round was led by Shenzhen Capital Group, Sequoia Capital, and GGV Capital, with other investors including China Merchants Group and ByteDance participating.
The funds will be used to drive technology development, early market expansion, and follow-on product development, the company said.
Founded in October 2020, Moore Thread says its core members come from NVIDIA, Microsoft, Intel, AMD, Arm, and others, with key members having more than 10+ years of experience in GPU drivers, compilation, AI chips, and software algorithms.

Moore Thread says it is a mature team that can cover the complete structure of GPU R&D and design, manufacturing, marketing and sales, and service support.
Moore Thread says the founders have more than 15 years of experience in the industry and have led the world's top chip companies to develop the China GPU ecosystem.
Rumor has it that Moore Thread's founder is James Zhang Jianzhong, NVIDIA's global vice president and general manager of China.
Zhang joined NVIDIA in May 2005 and has been with the company for over 15 years, and is rumored to have left NVIDIA in last September, while Moore Thread was registered last October.

Now Loongson join the fray

Chinese processor maker Loongson is entering GPU field-CnTechPost

Loongson Technology announced the establishment of six teams responsible for the R&D of the 3A5000, 3C5000, 7A2000 and the 2K2000 processors, as well as the R&D of GPU and PCIe, meaning it will enter the GPU field for the first time.
Loongson Chairman Hu Weiwu said that the purpose of these six teams is to complete 2-3 years of work in one year and become the core force of the autonomous chip ecological construction system in China, according to

.
Among them, Loongson 3A5000 is a new generation desktop processor with 12nm process. Each chip contains 4 cores, clocked at 2.5GHz, single core performance reaches about 30 minutes.
Loongson 3C5000 is a new-generation server processor, using 12nm technology, each chip contains 16 cores, supports 4 to 16-way servers, and has the commercial competitiveness of high-end servers.

The 7A2000 is Loongson's next-generation chipset. The current 7A1000 chipset is still based on AMD’s HT 3.0x16 bus and supports mainstream interfaces such as USB 2.0/3.0, SATA 2.0, PCIe, and M.2.
As for Loongson 2K2000, it should be its next-generation network chip. The current Loongson 2K1000 is a dual-core processor chip for network security and mobile smart terminal.
The GPU and PCIe commando are new, which means that Loongson began to do GPU and PCIe buses in 2020, but there is not much information at present.

Biden 's pronouncement of "bringing back supply chains" sounds impressive to the domestic audience but when you look at the details, it is likely to be a massive disappointment.

Just like Biden 's "Buy American" executive order that sounds impressive but only closes minor loopholes in American federal contract purchasing, does not truly make a impact at all.

What Biden wants to do is "appear' tough by continuing Trump's anti-China rhetoric, but we already have many Republicans accusing him of being weak on China, so the sooner he realizes Republicans cannot be convinced and will always be against Biden 's actions, the sooner he can push through his real agenda without pandering to Republicans for the sake of unity. Unity and bipartisanship doesn't exist if the other side is batshit crazy and ideologically opposed to your brand and identity.

So guys, Biden 's pronouncement of 'bring back supply chain' is more aspirational, virtue signaling, and rhetoric aimed at the domestic audience consumption, rather than true policy substances that ever becomes reality. The only politician to mean what he says on anti-China trade is Trump, and he is the only one to follow-through with his promises. He is a anomaly.

Good let the USA destroy themselves even more. I mean Biden is not in a good position to be making threats given that everyone knows that he is simply creating more war and doing nothing to help the current crisis around the world. Damn, I am still waiting for the USA to really decouple so that the normal people can get a good taste as to what will happen if they cannot buy Chinese goods anymore. Hopefully it will finally cause people to go full retard and burn down the USA for real since it will be quite impossible for the people to live if they cannot purchase the goods they always complain about but quite frankly need (not that these racist trash would ever acknowledge that, those ungrateful bastards)

US has a raging pandemic deaths, significant economic recession, and domestic turmoil and civil unrest. It has inferior bargaining position and weak leverage over China, and both sides know it. It cannot try to portray China as some boogeyman to unite the country because it's unlikely to work because Americans don't trust the mainstream media anymore. Republicans are always skeptical of Joe no matter what he does . If American public is not unified on China threat, then continuing the tech bans and trade war is a futile mission. Biden is appearing tough to give him credibility to pull back on semiconductor bans and tech bans quietly and people are going to forget about it. Republicans will cry foul but they always cry foul and sound like crying wolves about anything Biden does.
