Hey WTAN, could you link to the Chinese language source mentioning that CETC would make ArF immersion lithography scanners?
Its from a Internal Semiconductor Industry Journal. Even if a link was provided to the original article, you wouldnt be able to access it.
This is the earliest and only article so far mentioning it. You wont find any other article about this.
There will be more articles coming out maybe in 12 months time.
I will post it for sure.

Do you at least have bibliographic information of the journal? It seems like it was translated from online since it mentions "Shengmei" and I have found open source reporting on CETC building factories in Beijing, but only of CMP equipment, not lithography

Why do you want the original source article in Chinese?
Want to hack into the website and get more news?
Are you a Taiwanese or Japanese Spy? Maybe American?
Dont worry, more news about CETC will come out in the future.

Interesting how they consider TSMC and Samsung a problem. Those companies better watch out or they will become the next Nikon from Japan in the '80s and '90s.
TSMC abandoned China. In return, America guaranteed it will shift more orders to TSMC from US firms. Intel is the latest to place orders.

That’s the underline agreement between TSMC and US.

I think @SleepyStudent is just over eager for information. Even though the members here would all love to hear about China's fast advancements, it's always important to remember not to get lost in the heat of the moment and accidentally divulge sensitive information here. Our interests and hobbies can never take precedence over China's national security. Please be careful. Thank you.

Foreign journalist, India trolls, Chinese expats interested in Chinese military developments, etc...etc... are all on here.

And everything we say on the internet is monitored and tracked.

The first day when I was in the military training the officer told us the discipline "不该看的不看,不该问的不问,不该说的不说", "Don't look, don't ask, don't say if you are not authorized". Any Chinese members here should follow that.

In 1964 when China detonated the first nuclear bomb, Premier Zhou Enlai told his secretary to keep it a secret before the Foreign Ministry had made the event public, he specifically says "do not tell my wife even though she is a member of central committee of the party, but it is not within her duty to know". That is what this discipline about.
