My guess would be American. Another CIA inspired FUD campaign.

Just look at the names.

The first one, Mr. Chan, or Chen, or Tran, that dude futures emporium.

The second one, literally is, eat rat shit my cat meow.

The third one, that is relatively normal. On, that surname is not that common, that I could be wrong, that is just my impression.

In America, everyone wants to go into the show business, everyone wants to be a comedian.

Maybe they will give it a clinical name to this psyche affliction. Call it the Zelensky Syndrome.

:p

I found this to be extremely hard to believe. Somehow, the same Huawei is going to collapse post (word by word) was posted by many Chinese social media account at the same time. Looks like certain malignant force is running a hit job on Huawei in China. I guess this is also happening to YMTC at the same time. So, I would caution everyone to be very careful with what they are reading and not overreact to any sensational rumor or article.

It’s a propaganda campaign against China’s top tech companies. Definitely the work of an intelligence agency. You can figure out which intelligence agency by the country trying desperately to bring down Huawei and YMTC? SEE-EYE-AYE

Might as well just post it.

The growth of the Asia-Pacific semiconductor market is growing much faster than it is anywhere else. Look at the slope of the graph. That indicates growth rate.

Chinese Semi Manufacturers did offer many attractive deals for RAM and SSD in ASEAN countries and I can assume in many places such as India/Pakistan/Russia... places that are not "Western"
In VN, I can remember when I build a new PC just 4 months ago, I choose a not-well-know brand of RAM and an unknown brand of SSD as well. Both due to the very cheap price.
I believe they both are from China .
A bit offtopic, but I have old laptop, and I've been hearing that there is a downturn now, so do you think guys is a good time to cheaply buy a new laptop or still wait a bit?

Go for it, buy some casual gaming model from asus or acer with good monitor refresh rate, 2 RAM Slots. Since they are gaming laptop, they have very decent VGA card such as GT 1650 or RX 5500. They offer NVM SSD card and even a place for future SSD Disk.
Most low entry office laptop did not offer 2 RAM slots so future upgrade is very limited and their monitor are just ... bad. Once you view the monitor with 120-144 Hz refresh rate, you can hardly tolerance 60Hz refresh rate.

Huawei would be well served to work with the only 100% domestic CPU maker. Anyone else would be concerned about getting put on entity list. They've made LA compatible with Euler and Harmony. They've also integrated LA SoC with harmony, but haven't done anything like that with also major Chinese chipmakers.

Even more than that, LA is the only CPU offering competitive performance with 12 to 28 nm process in China. Kunpeng-920 is a great chip but it's 3 years old and uses a process that SMIC probably can't mass produce right now. So, what good is that?

Huawei should work with Loongson to get it even more compatible with ARM and x86.

If US bans every Intel, Qualcomm and friends form working with Huawei, I'd guess we can see a kind of spin-off like they did with Honor. For me Honor has been a success story because they saved jobs and skills of 15K people and allowed the business to continue.

IMO they could do the same with their consumer business (laptops, etc.), and maybe also the cloud business that btw was already rumored some time ago to go on sale.

Huawei will refocus on its core business that is telecom infrastructure and will become even more a R&D oriented company. They will become stronger in software solutions, AI, chip design (through Hi-silicon), and will dive even more into the semiconductor market through joint ventures and direct investment in equipment manufacturers, high tech start-up and also fabs.

From the ecosystem point of view, Huawei will move up the tech ladder, spinning off commodity business and repurposing itself as a strong and competent force to foster a wide and diverse Chinese high-tech ecosystem.

It's like you steal the violin from a musician...and he starts to teach hundreds of young violinists, buys them a violin and even writes music for them. What US misses in their blind rage, is that is not the company, but the people that makes a difference.

Intel is cutting to the bone
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
It has suspended merit raises for all employees, suspended quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and employee recognition programs, and cut 401(k) retirement plan matching payments by half, to 2.5%.
Employees said Gelsinger delivered the message in a somber, companywide address Tuesday evening. They said he sought to rally employees by referencing hard times Intel endured during the 1980s, before it emerged as the world’s dominant chipmaker. He suggested the cuts could be reversed if Intel’s fortunes improve.
