@Rettam Stacf bro do you enjoy the thread so far, I am and I learned a lot , It was such a delight having witness the discussion between @hvpc and @latenlazy only in SDF, It was an eye opening for me the difficulties China is facing.
Keep in mind that by the time SSMB becomes a viable solution for production EUV itself may be completely tapped out as a method for shrinking process nodes, or shrinking process nodes by itself will have been exhausted as the key performance driver.

@latenlazy again Sir a stupid question and hope for your patience and wisdom, as we see the pro's and con's of both, why not combined the two? from my understanding ASML High NA EUVL is more on optics and its internal arrangement with the same power source? IF China SSMB do succeed, can we see node at 1nm or lower? Or we need new tech as EUVL has reach its limit?

What year do you estimate will be when SSMB is ready to be commercialized in China?
@broadsword my guess 2026/2027, when IHEPS finished its construction in 2025. As of now they're using SSRF to research the optics and materials needed, hopefully an interim solution using either an improve DPP or a LPP will be introduced BUT for now they settled for SSMB and they're willing to wait, that for me is a sign of confidence in the tech.
