Having read the Novel 'Fatherland', which is based on the idea of a Cold War between Nazi Germany and the Western Allies, I've always wondered what the Chinese NRA in the story would be equipped. Knowing the historical ties between the ROC, German and the US, my impression is that China would try to follow the Indian OTL Cold War policy of non-alignment and purchase equipment from both sides.
Some conjecture:
Small Arms: Primarily German for logistics reasons
Assault rifle- StG 45
LMG - ZB 30
GPMG - Type 67 chambered for 7.92 (replaces MG34)
HMG - M2 HB 12.7 mm (originally US lend-lease)
SMG - Type 50 (PPsh copied from Soviets, cheaper and more reliable than MP18)
Pistol - Mauser C96 (for NCOs and assault troops), Type 54 (TT-33 copied from Soviets for officers)
Artillery: Primarily American (Better performance)
155mm artillery
203 mm artillery
Tanks - Primarily American (lower cost, more reliable)
Patton series
(Domestic designs influenced by Patton series tanks instead of OTL T-55/T-62 series)
Aircraft: This is something I'm not too sure about, the US could provide more hardware for less cost than the Germans though
Ships - Same as aircraft
Just wondering what anyone else's thoughts may be about this.
