I find a popular claim from Bilibili that Chinese ZPT98 125 gun has three versions which he claims“ 一步 二步 三步炮” version1 version2 version3. The one sold to Thailand is version1 which is inferior to what PLA is using. Is there any sources back up this claim?

Is it true ZPT98 gun has been improved to different standard overtime?

"The company emphasized that export models follow the same production standards as those supplied to the PLA, ruling out material or manufacturing issues"

Why can’t people accept that high performance weapons aren’t perfect and are prone to malfunctions?
I guess it's because people are brainwashed. Somehow they ended doing what the German did near the end of WW2 which to heavily invest in wunderwaffe that ends up breaking like the Tiger tanks instead of investing more into attritions rates weapons. The CAF is equipped with the TAPVs that are famous for breaking and falling over.

I heard that it was improper procedure. When they tried firing the round it failed to fire, so the gun operator ejected it. The round exploded inside the turret as a result.
I've heard that it was due to a no-fire. Guessing delayed combustion of the propellant that went off just when they were removing the round from the breech.

Being a tanker we were taught to wait for at least half an hour before attempting to remove the round just to be sure. And even then it was still risky.
