A recent CCTV program said this land-based microwave anti-drone system's emission power can reach 2GW.

Also, this vehicle is highly integrated. All parts of its kill chain, including search, track, strike, & energy, are all in one vehicle. The panels can be folded, which makes the system highly maneuverable & survivable.

You need that amount of power to reliably kill drone swarms even at fairly close ranges. That’s the thing about microwaves.

Surely not right, if so at best it would be at an extreme short burst of power. 2 Gigawatts continuous is what the Hoover dam produces at peak capacity. I don't see a portable Hoover dam tucked away somewhere in the vehicle...

Twinkle twinkle little star, power equals I squared R. Unlike lasers you don’t need continual output of high power to do damage. Microwave fries electronics by inducing a large current in the circuits, which is different from having to physically heat an airframe so that it fails.
