RSF might currently be the most active operators of Chinese export weapons

Does anyone know what the hole is for? I see that there is some sort of antenna/sensor between the "hole" and I guess light. But the hole baffles me.
They are just assets resold by UAE. But PRC is not mad enough at them for reselling and possibly violating user agreement — at least not openly.
