Chinese laser weapon development

I'm curious what the wattage is. I think the highest we've seen out of China is OW5-A50 at 50 kW, but this system is much larger with an entirely different design that seems to emphasize room for power storage.

LW-60 could do 60KW and we don’t know how powerful the naval laser is but according to Orca it is the most powerful laser in service anywhere in the world.

The large set has a 50kw energy output. Enough to take out anything except solid metal, so any current non anti ship missile is theoretically destroyable (asm missiles tend to have thick shells for impact)
Much weaker lasers can melt through solid metal. Having more power means it's more effective at range when the atmosphere has taken some of the laser's energy and the beam has spread.

The same system was spotted around Beijing for the parade rehearsal.

That is a monster of a vehicle lmfao! I would expect output power to be very high if all of the weight is dedicated to power generation. For comparison, the US Army's Indirect Fire Protection Capability-High Energy Laser (IFPC-HEL) built by Lockheed Martin uses a High Energy Laser Scaling Initiative (HELSI) laser (also built by Lockheed) in the 300kw range and is mounted on a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT).

Using the sedan next lane for comparison, I would say that it is about the size of a city bus, a bit longer perhaps. Don’t think it is particularly large compared to other military vehicles on land.
