According to china-defense-mashup.com, the head of China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) Zuomin Lin (Lin Zuoming) acknowledged that worked on the basis of the Russian AL-31F turbofans Chinese analogue WS -10 Taihang ( на фото ) still can not get a satisfactory standard of quality

That is not what the China-defense-mashup.com article says.

ww w.china-defense-mash up.com/this-is-the-real-face-of-taihang-ws-10-turbofan-engine.html

Between a copy and a design that started a decade before China had access to same, and with a core based on another design, there is a gulf.

Sorry, but maybe since I'm a teacher and even more that I get angry to read such nonsence ...

At present, China produces for the J-10 fighter and the J-11 engines WS-10 and their derivatives. These engines are copies of the Russian AL-31 WRONG, but differ from the latter less traction and reliability, and shorter time between overhauls. In particular, the WS-10A engines installed on the prototype of the Chinese Navy Fighter J-15 (a copy of the Su-33), and WS-10G - a prototype of the fighter-bomberWRONG, the fifth-generation J-20.

At school I would say "sit down and do Your homework better next time" ... and don't trust Lenta.ru.

what is the veracity of both sources? claiming X guy from this forum said and that guy from that forum said against Lenta said?

The veracity is the same, however if you have an AVIC source saying this is the true story you can prove which one is true.

Official sources tell at least the official version.

Right. Do the Russian outlets have an official Chinese source from AVIC that tells the whole story of the WS-10?

I do not know, i know Russian engine makers do coperate with China, up to what level i do not know and what China does to maintain those engines i do not know, if the recieve parts to do it or not, i only can tell you that reverse engineer is possible at least in theory

Credibility is built up over time, I don't read Russian, but from the few translated articles it seems Lenta.ru is more catered towards providing gossip/blogging material rather than facts, at least when it comes to Chinese military.

Here at SDF we tend to scrutinize information even from established forum "big shrimps", so you must forgive us if we don't take this article seriously.

True, true. It doesn't seem like they have an official source if they're saying something like:
...In particular, the WS-10A engines installed on the [...] WS-10G - a prototype of the fighter-bomber, the fifth-generation J-20.
