According to the sources, I don't think CJ-1000 has been tested on the flight. What this news said is the new aero-based engine test platform made its maiden flight and the engine mounting test. It's a new platform, so it's essential to test if all the systems and functions are good in the sky. So, why mount a brand-new engine on its maiden flight? After the test platform is confirmed to be perfect, then it will enter service and its first customer will be CJ-1000. What we will see then is "the new aero-based engine test platform finished its first test mission."
Nobody said that the CJ-1000 has made its first flight on the C919's maiden flight...

but that’s also not what @Mischa claimed.

from what I understand, there are rumours, the old Il-76-based engine test bed has been retired and replaced by a Y-20 - eventually one of the prototypes - and that the CJ-1000 was either already or will be tested on it soon.

Huang Weina, the chief engineer of ws-19, gave the data of WS19, the thrust of the engineering prototype is 10 tons, and the thrust-to-weight ratio is 10. At the same time, the thrust of ws-13 is similar to that of RD33.
And confirmed the existence of the legendary 9-ton thrust WS-21.

Hopefully WS-19 would be ready for serial production when the J-35/31 does.

What is(are) the intended user(s) of WS-21?

Isn't that a bit low? WS-19 should be at least 11 tons thrust
