While this one would be better posted in the S/VTOL thread instead of here - Should his claim be proven to be accurate, then this would indeed be a great news.
@伏尔戈星图 on Weibo alleges/hints that the S/VTOL-capable WS-XX engine under development (which is meant for a rumored S/VTOL-capable warplane which is also WIP) is capable of reaching a
turbine inlet temperature (TIT) of around
2100 degrees Celcius (i.e.
~2373 Kelvin). His post alleged that this should enable the engine to produce a
(simulated) lift thrust of
17.3 ton-force (i.e.
~169.7 kN).
More specifically, there appears to be mentions from an academic paper with a stated TIT of
1827-2127 degrees Celcius (i.e.
~2100-2400 Kelvin). I don't have access to the paper, unfortunately.
