I would not believe everything i read on those forums although some news and views on there are quite credible. We will know that it is ready when we get production certification news coming out. Until then, it seems like we are doing pretty well now that we see this many j11bs using iy.

Well according to the translation it appears that TVC engine test were successful which is news to me...is this the WS-10B TVC variant I've heard about?

Hi Maya...From a vague sort of way it's tail cone suggests possible thrust vectoring, care to comment? I wonder if it has achieved it's intended goal of 140 k-newton thrust level. Of course your thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't see any signs of thrust vectoring, but the engine has definitely changed since we last saw it. The nozzle has changed mostly.

The article say FWS10-A, before it was called FWS10 without A, and the engine is slightly different, similar to the WS10-A pictures of few years ago: either the FWS10 (the one installed in J11B) has changed (but this change is not evident from recent pictures of J11B flying with chinese engines) or this is the rumored FWS-10 improved/adapted to flying on J10. If the latter is the case it's a good news. Any info on chinese high-bypass turbofan studying/building (for example engines for C919)?
