Why some people need to force a Taiwan conflict ASAP.
It also belies the talking point that "capital is fleeing China".

To be clear, I am not sure to what extent China even needs foreign capital anymore. I think at this stage it's more a case of Western firms trying to get a piece of the China story than China needing them.

Over time, CCP should probably overlook the FDI framework and ask themselves if it's still needed. Letting Western firms gobble up a part of your national economy when their home countries are hostile to China is questionable at best.

Bro China will not her economy be financialized and will never give up its capital control, China welcome FDI cause they bring in Jobs and tangible investment and production, NOT speculation and it create economic activity.

And when trouble hits those factory can't be repatriated.;)

FDI gives an incentive for Western nations to follow international law on pain of having their assets confiscated if they violate it. If anything, China should maximize FDI.

In a sense bro, Trump and EU rejection of CAI save the Chinese economy from being Financialized, Soros and his kind are salivating the prospect of sucking the 1.4 Billion Chinese, The anger and frustration set in when thwarted by Xi...lol
