You goofed again. You took out the word "technological" before the innovation and it made things so different. Billionaire businesses have their innovations like lithography, jet engines, supercomputers, etc... and small businesses have their innovations, like noodle splash mouth-guard, humane mousetrap, tuna flavored ice cream, etc... You tell me which is more important to national power.

So I mistyped "technological" as "technogical". You're going to waste everyone's time on that? Talk about losers making tiny criticisms.

*I* was referring to 2008; its aftermath was definitely a gigantic robbery of the people. The US billionaires rewarded themselves richly at the people's expense. Something similar could easily happen in China, if the billionaires become too strong.
LOLOLOL Do you see how long my post was? Everything was a point-to-point and completely rebutted what you had to say and your response to me quoted literally only, "We're not talking about 2008..." which is the least important part of everything I said. You said,

"How many trillions of dollars have been robbed from the American people in the last few years?"

There is no indication or reference to 2008 at all. I'm talking about how billionaires in tech industries bolster Chinese innovation and you're here suddenly trying to limit the scope to what (some) American billionaires did in 2008. It's irrelevent and pathetic.

And since you could not define your context of "leash" "curb" or "tackle," I'll ask you if you can even define what you meant by "too powerful." What does that mean? What specific change are you afraid to see in China's billionaires that they might become uncontrollable by the CCP?

Stop crapping on yourself; nobody else here thinks that just because you can't answer questions about your self-admittedly poorly-thought out proposal that those questions become "yapping." You've put more thoughtless repetitious verbal diarrhea here than anyone else and seeing the increasingly brief and empty responses, I can tell you regret getting into this conversation completely unprepared. I will continue this as long as you do and the only way to end your embarrassment is for you to stop.

So I mistyped "technological" as "technogical". You're going to waste everyone's time on that? Talk about losers making tiny criticisms.
Oh. My. Goodness. You are STUPID. Even your reading comprehension is crap now. I don't care about your spelling. The difference is that I said, "technological innovation" and you showed me overall innovation which is basically limited to the little gadgets that small businesses can make for everyday homes. They are not the technological innovations that megacorps make that run the world. That's obviously the take-way point for anyone who is literate. Read #17,551 again and see if you can get it this time; it's not that long so even someone like you should be able to handle it.

Agreed. Who tf believes corruption Indexes. They are mostly mroduced by asking people their opinion on how much corruption exists.

So in the US, where lobbying is legal, most people dont recognise it as corruption and thus respond by saying the US has ni corruption...

And the indexed as bs, just have a look at the index of which nations were best prepared to deal with a pandemic lol
I made the same points a few comments above this one, but it looks like you beat me to it. :)

Fine by me.
Of course it is; you've been looking for a way out since you realized you screwed up and had to admit that you hadn't given much thought as to what you actually want to do to China's billionaires... except I didn't and will not give you any opportunity for a graceful exit for all the mistakes you've made.
@manqiangrexue just likes to yap and waste everybody's time.
Your time is as worthless as your self-admitted poorly thought-out arguments. You don't know what it actually takes for billionaires to "get too powerful," and above the control of the CCP and you don't know what it means to "curb" them. You don't know the exact problem you want to solve and of course you don't have a solution either. Essentially, you spent 2 days dodging questions you cannot answer and posted dozens of rants that all mean nothing. If I was "yapping" or wasting time then it's because I went and debated to death an argument that says and means nothing.

PS Ougoah is not a moderator. Feel free to continue debating me if you have anything at all left in the tank and the nerves to endure further humiliation. Looking forward to your next intellectually devoid face-saving short response.

China’s competition watchdog is adding staff and other resources as it ramps up efforts to crack down on anti-competitive behaviour, especially among the country’s powerful companies, people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters.
Beijing’s plan to bulk up the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) comes as China revamps its competition law with proposed amendments including a sharp increase in fines and expanded criteria for judging a company’s control of a market.
Lmao some 4D chess from the regulator here. They collect these sweet billions from Alibaba, and then use part of money to increase their staffing and capabilities so that they can catch them and other companies, faster in the future.

TLDR: The anti trust campaign is serious this time
