China GDP percapita is close to $10,000 now using China population of 13,79 billion with GDP of 13,5 Trillion
And Chinese economy is 68.5% of US economy
The current exchange rate is 6.4 RMB to 1 USD. So China’s nominal GDP would be US$13.1 trillion. Once Hong Kong and Macau are added this would be $13.47 trillion.

China leadership has already indicated the fourth quarter has come in with strong economic performance and that the 2017 GDP was 6.9%.

The trends for increasing for quarter to quarter and for larger fourth quarters suggests at least 2.23 trillion more than Q3 2017. This would put it at 23.4 trillion for Q4 2017. But I think it will come in at 2.33 trillion for Q4 which would be a total of 23.5 trillion for Q4 2017.

This would be 59.3 trillion for the first three quarters plus 23.5 trillion for the last quarter of 2017 for a total of 82.8 trillion RMB for 2017.

The current exchange rate is 6.4 RMB to 1 USD. So China’s nominal GDP would be US$13.1 trillion. Once Hong Kong and Macau are added this would be $13.47 trillion.

US GDP for 2017 is about $19.7 trillion.

China is about 68.5% of the US economy.

Q4 2017 Q4 2016 21.12813 Q4 2015 19.2852
Q3 2017 21.1798 Q3 2016 19.05295 Q3 2015 17.67104
Q2 2017 20.0807 Q2 2016 18.07437 Q2 2015 16.85030
Q1 2017 18.0682 Q1 2016 16.15727 Q1 2015 15.09867

The money representing time required to make the given proect.

If you spent 1 hours of worker's time to decrease the traveler time by half hour then you wasted the resources.

Simply, isn't it?

This is the same with the automatisation.
If you buy a robot that represents 10000 hours of work investment, to save 5000 hours of work then you wasted money.

You can invest into projects with negative return, but in that case on a contry level that you experience is a decreasing consumption, because instead of diapers, food, clothes, cars and houses you make high speed trains that is not used by anyone (or by not enought people to make it profitable).
in your mind is only profit and efficieny,
Think it: How can you make a robot with 100.000 hours of investment without any experience to make 10.000 ?

Jan. 22 (UPI) -- One of China's richest men is calling on his fellow entrepreneurs to support the welfare of rural schoolchildren after a photo of a frozen Chinese boy went viral.

Monday.

"Many pupils have to climb mountains or take a boat to go to school. In my opinion, these kids should not be commuting between home and school every day -- they should go to a boarding school," Ma said.

The tech entrepreneur also said smaller schools should close if they lacked the means to subsidize their students.

Ma, who built a fortune in China but had humble beginnings as an English teacher, said he is passionate about education.

"A country's education is strong only as long as its rural education is developed, just as a country is rich only as long as its farmers are rich," he said. "To measure a country's education sector, you can't look at its best universities, but look at its worst schools."

Ma encouraged top Chinese business executives, including Beijing property manager Feng Lun, Yu Feng of Yunfeng Capital and Giant Interactive Chairman Shi Yuzhu, to donate and "make a contribution to your home provinces by building dormitories and donating school buses."

It does make you wonder how many other ice boys are out there because there isn't sufficient media attention.

He is one of the millions of left-behind children, who are disadvantaged by not having parents to mind them during their growing-up years. Parents have to be around to ensure the children put in their study hours and not to go out playing. This group will become less successful in their careers and more of them will turn to crime.

True true, however if he was the type to skip school, why not do it on such a crappy day and just go to where he hangs out. Besides teachers say he peforms well at tests.
I'm rather puzzled as to why he is scantily dressed on a freezingly cold day and well dressed on what appears to be a less harsh day.?
Does that red scarf mean he is partaking in some socialist youth group function or is that a thing of the past?.

One thing that pissed me off when white folks keep on harping about the lack of freedom as it can feed people. Why focus on the type of governance instead of the effectiveness of a government?
I'm sure there are still lots of schools like the one depicted in the following pics, but in general conditions are much improved

Village schools in the 90's
