On XHS right now, I'm seeing a lot of Chinese post videos of foreign tourists at famous landmarks like Temple of Heaven and Pudong. A little voyeuristic perhaps, but cool to see nonetheless. Its Easter right now in Europe and where else are people to go, now that going to the US runs the risk of being detained by ICE and mistakenly sent to El Salvador?

NBS reports Q1 growth coming in at 5.4% YOY, beating expectations. MOM growth was 1.2%. Some of that strong growth was likely due to frontloading exports, however.

I did my part bro and so far most of my Filipino Client are impress at the rate of progress China had achieved. Mind you most of them prefer traveling to Europe and the US as many had relatives living there and to see their surprise and astonishment is a joy to see.... lok

@broadsword sir I don't know who formulated the tourism subsidies program in China But it was one heck of a plan and the guy who planned it should be given a raise and promotion.

It had kill three birds with one stone.

1) it stimulate the local economy

2) it promote China soft power

3) debunking the western narrative

From what I've experienced, those discriminating Travellers had kept quite and keep rejoining the China tour, okay price is one of the determining Factor BUT the vibrancy of Chinese culture and way of life is what keep them coming back, especially after tasting Chagee milk tea and Luckin coffee and experiencing the night market.

Give me your honest opinion of the food you took. Tasty? Too oily and too salty?

Guizhou, Sichuan and Chongqing for me taste the same, oily, spicy , salty pork and chicken but the veggie taste freshly good.

Those from the coastal area for me is what real Chinese food is all about, since my ancestor came from Jinjiang Fujian, the seafood is the best and they use less salt compare to the inner and mountainous region
