Chinese Economics Thread

I don't need to respond one by one to each of your points as it's a waste of time.
That's the US politician style official answer. The real answer, as we all know, is because you can't. You have a better chance at teaching Einstein physics (which you probably think you can because because you have no mental red light to warn you that if you disagree with a renown entity known for success in that field, you might be the wrong one) than surviving a debate with me.
The difference between me and you is that I acknowledge the possibility that sometimes the government can take actions that are detrimental to the nation's well-being but you do not.
No. I love China and I can analyze long term trends and acknowledge that if I disagree with an entity that not only has a track record but more knowledge than me, then I'm probably the wrong one. You do a piss poor job of pretending to be pro-China while accusing China of starting every conflict it's in, genociding a minority that is increasing in population with special birth privileges over Hans, creating COVID, then trying to convince us that we should give up land to everyone with a claim against us, stand no chance against the West over Taiwan, or the tech war... unless we blame/depose the evil CCP that dares regulate tech industries in China... which is exactly what all Western governments want to see happen in China because that's the only government in the world that has been effective at chopping down their lead. That's the difference between us.

US economy contracts for two quarters.

Media: "There's no recession, it's doing great"

China's economy, despite challenges, still grows and beats expectations

Media: "China's economy is in a dire situation so Xi is lashing out!"

but but but but but but but but but but but but but decoupling ..
in Nazi Germany, the Wehrmacht was forever marching forward, except people noticed that every victory was a little closer to Berlin.

AvtoVAZ fell to fourth place, while Geely Atlas Pro and Geely Coolray became the best-selling cars in Belarus

Data for July 2022 and for seven months

According to the results of July, the AatoVAZ company took the fourth place in the car market of Belarus, while back in June it took the second place. The information was published by the Belarusian Automobile Association.
In July, sales of Lada cars in this country amounted to only 75 cars, which is almost two times less than in June. In fact, during these two months, local dealers were selling off old stock. There was no replenishment of the warehouses due to the long downtime of AvtoVAZ, where the restoration of production began only in mid-June.

With all due respect to Belarus and Russia, the real prize are Western markets. Chinese EV start-ups like NIO are already setting up factories in Hungary in order to produce for the entire EU market.
how are they going to transport so many automobiles to West? these are not small electronics. German already complaining Tesla Berlin consuming too much water and do you think they will allow anything in East survive when depopulation will get much higher.
real market should be Middleast and CIS.

China will block beef imports from a second US firm after a shipment was detected to contain ractopamine, a banned feed additive, Chinese customs authority said on Thursday.

Starting Thursday, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) will suspend the declaration of meat products shipped by US-based firm King Meat Service Inc, as ractopamine has been detected in its beef exported to China, the customs said in a statement on its website. GAC said it has informed the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

China has halted beef imports from another US producer AA Meat Products in June. For the same reason, the customs said that it has suspended beef imports since June 15, according to a separate statement on July 26.

The move came as US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's recent visit to the island of Taiwan escalated tensions between China and the US.

In addition, US President Joe Biden on Tuesday signed into law the so-called CHIPS and Science Act that aims to impede and squeeze China’s semiconductors production.

According to data from the Foreign Agricultural Service under the USDA, China was the third-largest market for US beef and beef products in 2021, importing a total of $1.59 billion of beef from the US.
