Is the humiliation just reserved for the Chinese or should we Africans who work 72 hours a week and take home less than 10% of what the Westerners (who work 36 hours a week ) make also feel ashamed?
Everyone should feel humiliated because our ancestors didnt plunder and destroy the rest of the world. What a great thing for him to brag about...
Maybe we should had been colonising people left and right as well... So from his side of view, we are unsophisticated people, not worthy the "glory" of "Great" Britan

His "humiliating" remark is as always, classic projection of their Suez disaster. Now thats a truly humiliating thing to remember

My dude, why are you referring to the Suez crisis, which is an event that happened probably before this guy's even immigrated to the UK (judging from how atocious his English is) and not God's gift that keeps on giving, Brexit?

Because oh my god

Logical thinking is NOT "everything against my faith is not logical " : D

Point is simple : Chinese work more hours a week, and receive less of the result of they work than the USA/european counterpart.

It can be explained like a British works 14.3 hours for the oligarch/wealthy/politician , and 23.7 hours a week for himself, the Chinese counterpart works 28.6 hours a week for the oligarch/wealthy/politician , and 18.4 hours for himself.

Humiliating , isn't it ?
Did your "logical thinking" include the fact that Chinese people retire a decade or more earlier than their Western counterparts?

CNBC article about evergrande paying dolar bond to offshore investors.

They say this payment is a surprise. I wonder if the money came from evergrande or if it came from the "national team", despite the fact that evergrande has 300 billion dolars total debt and the chinese government wanting to make the property market more accountable. Perhabs they are getting scared of the consequences (as usual in the last 10 years) and may quietly start reverting course regarding the "three red lines" policy, although it is premature to conclude that at this point.

Also, despite what has been said about the chinese government prioritizing payment to domestic bondholders, they could be prioritizing offshore debt holders instead because the domestic ones are easier to acept restructuring (or other schemes) of their debt holdings, and also wanting to project an image of china being an investable market.

What do you think of this?

Driving trucks from Guangdong to Germany to deliver shipments? That sounds crazy and desperate.

In related news, I heard that rail shipments between China and Europe via Russia's railway have gone up 47% this year, pushing Russia railway capacity.
