Blaze-shrouded performers, meant to resemble a tiger or a phoenix resurrected from the ashes, danced in the center of crowds. This splendid performance is a Spring Festival tradition called the "Fire Tiger" in a small village in east China's Shandong Province.

According to a senior performer, the "Fire Tiger" has existed for over 120 years. Based on the Chinese Lion Dance and martial arts, the performance is a demonstration of vitality and masculinity.
