Muslims in Kashgar, Xinjiang, China prepare for the Corban Festival
Sept. 23, 2015. Local Muslims prepare for the upcoming Corban Festival holiday, also known as Eid al-Adha or the feast of the sacrifice.
Kashgar, the westernmost city in China, was the center of Uygur civilization for centuries, a place where people came together to trade and spread Islamic learning, on the caravan routes from Europe and Persia to China.

Urumqi lighted up at night!
In recent days, Urumqi commissioned a project to light it up at night. The project included lighting on the major roads and sub-districts as well as 65 iconic buildings. This is to prepare for the arrival of the 60th anniversary of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Looking at the pictures below, I would say that Urumqi is a charming city along the OBOR.
