Kashgar old city in Xinjiang is well preserved
The ancient city of Kashgar (Kashi) was a major hub along the ancient Silk Road, and a pivotal trading post where Oriental civilization met Western culture. Known today in Chinese as Kashi, the city, in southwestern Xinjiang Region, has a recorded history of over 2,000 years. The old city in modern Kashgar is well preserved and discreetly renovated for safer living conditions. Its old city is called "the last and living old city in China's vast West" by foreigners.

In search of Taoism at Laojun Mountain in Luoyang
Located in Luanchuan County under Luoyang city in central China's Henan Province, Laojun Mountain is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the province.
As part of an extension of the Qinling Mountain Range which divides China into North and South, Laojun Mountain is known for its cultural heritage of Taoism as it was once the retreat of Laozi, a great Chinese philosopher and the founder of Taoism.

Scenery of Wudang Mountains in Hubei
Wudang Mountain, in the northwest of Hubei province, is perhaps the best known of China's Taoist holy mountains. It was listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994. The mountain has several main tourist attractions, covering an area of 300 square kilometers. From afar, the scenery resembles a beautiful, traditional Chinese landscape painting.
