This is the part of the Great Wall that most tourists don't see.
The current status of the Great Wall in Hebei province is not promising. According to an investigation conducted by China Great Wall Society in 2014, only 8.2% of the Great Wall constructed in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) is in good condition. Bad weather, destruction and lack of maintenance are causing damage to the Great Wall.

I kinda like some part of the Great Wall to left in its rustic look. There are efforts being made to rebuild parts of the Great Wall but in my opinion you don't need to do 100% of it because the cost and its vast size.

No kidding, seeing is believing!

A building complex that looks like a luxury cruise ship is seen near the Qiantang River in Hangzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province. The 10-storey building houses the offices of a company. (Photo/CFP)

And a coal-fired power plant (I assumed that's coal-fire not nuclear......) almost right next to it. It kind reminds me of that scene in Brazil.....

I'm disappointed! I want to see a star ship look alike rather than a luxury cruise ship. I mean you can just go on a trip with a real luxury cruise ship if you wish. But imagine going to work or going home to a giant futuristic star ship?

OMG... can't believe they got a USS Enterprise building in China. You would expect something like this in North America where many hardcore Star Trek fans live. I wonder if the gaming company have to pay some kind of patent fees for it or not. That's one cool place to work for sure.
