Jiang Xuexia, a woman in her 30s from an underdeveloped eastern village, has managed to create a popular black tea brand with annual online sales of more than 6 million yuan ($0.88 million) after resigning from a Top 500 company.
With high expectations from her fellow villagers because she got the highest score on the 2004 college entrance exam in her hometown of Qimen county, East China's Anhui province, Jiang decided to re-energize the local black tea brand after graduation. "Qimen black tea was once a very popular brand, and lost its luster in the 1990s. Many local farmers shifted to green tea," Jiang said.

Jiang and her sisters signed a uniform tea garden management contract with local farmers to standardize management and ensure quality. During the harvest season from March to June, local farmers sell their tea leaves to Jiang's tea factory at a higher than market price, as long as they meet the standards set by Jiang. "We received as much as 100,000 yuan of tea leaves daily on average during the harvest season, and paid the farmers every three days," Jiang said. More than 60 local households have been lifted out of poverty since Jiang started her tea business.

The Long March-3B carrier rocket lifted off from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 7:52 a.m.. It was the 283rd mission of the Long March rocket series, said a source of the launch center.
The twin satellites entered orbit more than three hours after the launch. After a series of tests, they will work together with 10 other BeiDou-3 satellites already in orbit.

April Yang, born in 1989, has been a music lover since childhood. She fell in love with kalimba, or thumb piano, at first sight when her African friends showed her the African musical instrument in 2015. The outer appearance and tone of kalimba was relatively raw, and the instrument was virtually unknown in China back then.
Thus, Yang redesigned the instrument by rearranging the keys and altering the wooden materials to get better sound effect. She spent more than 400 days on trying over 50 different versions and finally came up with the present edition. Yang also prepared teaching materials and kalimba-exclusive music scores for beginners.

To better promote the instrument, Yang started to upload some video clips of her playing kalimba to the internet in 2016, and gained hundreds of thousands of fans, with total clicks exceeding 100 million times. She has recomposed more than 400 kalimba music scores since then, with many of them becoming hit.
