I absolutely agree, particularly if I post something when I'm freshly ticked off,, then have to live with that bit of stoopidity,, gives you the option of doing some "self moderating",,,

I like the five chicks and their "pig stickers" (L A lingo, lower Alabama that is), so is that a dramatic dance type troupe?

In a related development, three junior ROTC cadets who were killed in the Florida school shooting are being honored by the US Army.

The Medal of Heroism was presented to the family of 14-year-old Alaina Petty at a memorial service on Monday, the Army said, and one was given to the family of Peter Wang during his memorial service on Tuesday morning. The family of Martin Duque, also aged 14, will be given the medal on Saturday, the Army added.

The medal recognizes cadets whose performance "involved the acceptance of danger and extraordinary responsibilities".

The US Military Academy at West Point is posthumously admitting Peter, who had spent part of his childhood in his parents' native China and had dreamed of attending West Point, friends said.

Peter Wang, 15, wearing his junior ROTC uniform, held open a door to allow his fellow classmates, teachers and staff to escape the shooting rampage, according to students and teachers.

An online petition to the White House sought military honors at Wang's funeral. It had more than 43,700 signatures as of Tuesday.

"His selfless and heroic actions have led to the survival of dozens in the area. Wang died a hero, and deserves to be treated as such, and deserves a full honors military burial," the petition said.

The petition needs 100,000 signatures by March 18 to get a response from the White House, according to whitehouse.gov.

Our thoughts and prayers are for Peter and his class mates, and each of their familes, who were murdered by a mentally ill classmate,, Peter was a hero, and provided many the opportunity to escape, before he was murdered as were his class mates by a deranged killer.

Vehicles wait for ferry service at Xiuying port in Haikou, capital of South China's Hainan province, Feb 21, 2018. [Photo/Xinhua]
As the weeklong Chinese New Year holiday comes to an end, a halt of ferry services across the Qiongzhou Strait due to heavy fog created lengthy traffic jams, obstructing more than 10,000 cars that were leaving the southern China region.
As of Wednesday afternoon-the last day of the holiday-vehicles remained lined up for miles near three ports in Haikou, Hainan province. The Qiongzhou Strait links Guangdong province with Hainan province, and the ferry service is the only way to drive to and from the island.
According to a statement posted on Sina Weibo by the Haikou government publicity office, ferry services stopped on Monday and resumed on Tuesday.
By 11 am on Wednesday, ferries had carried 32,583 cars and 145,225 people leaving the island since service resumed, it said. By Wednesday afternoon, all services had resumed, but stranded cars continued to crowd roads near three ports in Haikou, the statement said.

Ferry services resumed Thursday on the Qiongzhou Strait, a major gateway to China's southernmost island province of Hainan, but time will be needed to clear the backlog of stranded vehicles.
