Hello i'm new here in this forum and i've recently been reading on the Internet that Taiwan will soon harden its facilities to make them more survivable against Chinese ballistic and cruise missiles. I assume that Taiwan might also build hardened underground facilities to store their weapons, including small arms, aircraft, missiles and possible future nuclear weapon production sites.(Hope Taiwan isn't foolish enough to make nukes) Therefore, i've been wondering if China has made bunker-busting bombs like the US has? To prepare for missions that requires PLAAF to destroy hardened targets, having such bombs is neccessary, since i predict China would have new generation bombers(probably stealth or semi-stealth)numbering not less than 150 by the year 2030. With China's economy, even absent of stealth bombers, non-stealth bombers of B-52 level can still make a difference if built and deployed in numbers and protected by fighter escorts like J-10, Su-27,etc.
Does China have bunker-busting bombs and are they developing them? Such bombs would be an indispensable asset since cruise missiles and ballistic missiles lack the heavy penetration to destroy thickly-buried targets. Even in a non Taiwan scenario, such bombs would still be useful, since having that capability as opposed to not having that capability is better, right?:china:
