Chinese Aviation Industry

This is a red herring. They will start with a purge of Airbus in China but then they will move on to sanction AVIC and COMAC.

Notice the intense double standards in this article. Claiming China never separated the military from civilian side in aviation sector. When Boeing builds the F-15 and F/A-18 Super Hornet. Airbus also has a defense division which makes the A-400M. It is pure baloney on their part, even if AVIC had no defense business, they would still claim otherwise just to sanction them. Proof is never necessary for US sanctions. Even if the claimed issues they have amounted to much of anything.

Airbus signed a framework agreement with Suzhou Industrial Park on the establishment of Airbus China's new research center to be launched in Suzhou, Jiangsu province on Friday.

The center will provide research services in advanced manufacturing, hydrogen energy infrastructure, sustainability and electrification, future cabin and new technologies, which will benefit Airbus' global operations while strengthening the company's footprint and innovation partnerships in China.

"China not only has a promising aviation market, but also has advanced technological advantages in many fields. In the future, we hope to take advantage of the high-quality business environment of Suzhou Industrial Park," said George Xu, executive vice-president of Airbus and chief executive officer of Airbus China.

"The unique advantages of Suzhou in the supply chain, as well as the rich local top talent pool, will help to carry out more comprehensive cooperation with enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region, so as to jointly contribute to the high-quality development of the Chinese aviation industry," Xu said.

Airbus is committed to leading the decarbonization of the aerospace sector. By 2035, the company aims to bring the world's first zero-emission commercial aircraft to the market. This is consistent with China's goal to peak its carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, Airbus said.

Strategically positioned in the Yangtze River Delta Region of China, the research center will be supported from its proximity to the region's strong aeronautical and hydrogen related supply chain. With the new facility, Airbus reaffirmed its long-term commitment to develop and invest in China and further expand the company's footprint in the country, underlining its position as a reliable partner to China and the Chinese aviation industry.

"The latest movement shows Airbus's recognition of China's investment environment and technological advances, and the company's confidence in increasing its investment in the country," said Zou Jianjun, a professor at the Civil Aviation Management Institute of China.

Airbus is already deep integrated with Chinese market. A320 family main assembly lines to manufacture centers to R&D centers located in China. A320 family major assembly lines are in Tianjin city. soon A321 and A319 start producing from this city. A350 main delivery center also opened last year. first A350 delivery center outside Europe.

well. there is a news related ASML as well ..

ASML's financial report disclosed that in the first quarter of 2022, the company sold a total of 62 lithography systems, of which mainland China accounted for 34%, rarely surpassing South Korea and Taiwan to become the largest shipment market for ASML .. and company announced to recruit 200 chip related engineers for Shanghai office.

apart from EUV, ASML selling all type of system and equipments to Chinese customers. China will secure 14nm-7nm supply soon with the help of DUV. hence 90 percent problems will solve.

for 5nm/3nm and below you need EUV. that is a different game. will tell you some other time. there will be good news in 2024-2025 related domestically produce EUV. wait and watch. DRAGON has awakened.

Airbus China announced Friday that the company plans to deliver the 600th A320 family aircraft assembled at its Asia final assembly line in north China's Tianjin Municipality in 2022.

George Xu, the executive vice president of Airbus and the chief executive officer of Airbus China, said that Airbus is ramping up production of the single-aisle A320 series aircraft to meet demands from the global market. The Tianjin final assembly line is also adapting to serve the recovering Chinese civil aviation market better.

"Airbus is confident in the Chinese market. We are committed to deeply integrating into the market and getting prepared together with local partners," Xu added.

The European aircraft manufacturer in 2008 inaugurated an A320 family's final assembly line in Tianjin. By the end of 2021, Airbus had assembled and delivered 555 A320 series aircraft from the facility. In the same year, Airbus delivered 142 commercial planes into the Chinese market, a more than 40 percent year-on-year increase, accounting for over 23 percent of its global delivery.

Airbus Tianjin can now work on the A319 and A320 aircraft of the A320 family. After completing the adaptation work, the production facility there will also conduct the final assembly on the A321, the largest member of the family, expecting to deliver the first China-assembled A321 aircraft from Tianjin in 2022.

According to Airbus' forecast in November 2021, the global commercial aircraft market is expected to recover to pre-COVID-19 levels between 2023 and 2025, led by the single-aisle aircraft segment.

China will be a vital engine for the recovery of the global civil aviation market. The country's continuously growing market would need around 8,200 new commercial aircraft over the 2020-2040 period, accounting for more than 20 percent of the global demand, the Airbus' forecast also said.

Looks like China won't be buying many Boeing airliners anytime soon:

I looked through my civilian aviation forum. Nobody cares about this type of news. I wouldn't be so concerned that a loser consultant firm wrote up a scary title after it couldn't find anything useful. COMAC itself is the civilian airliner arm of AVIC just like Airbus is the civilian airliner arm of EADS. No self respecting aviation people would be ignorant of that.
