How did you go from HJ (ATGM) to HQ (SAM)?
Oops, I was posting in the SAM thread so I must have gotten HJ and HQ mixed up. Thanks for point out. Yes, I was asking which ATGM is used by Type 19 IFV, HJ-12/13/16?
Likely HJ-13, indicated by the tube size and suspected datalink antenna on the turret front, which it shares with the new airborne ifv and mengshi launcher.
It uses the HJ-13. HJ-16 is only a bit lighter than the HJ-10, and I don't think the IFV has enough space to carry it.
Reading some older news, I think the confusion was caused because what we thought was the HJ-16 was actual named HJ-13. The names are clarified now after their export variants were revealed in 2024 airshow.
