Chinese air to air missiles

So, does anyone here have any update as to the status of the "PL-20" missile?

For a while, I think the consensus was that PL-20 was the designation for a new BVRAAM intended to allow J-20 to carry 6 internally (vs 4 for PL-15).
However I see that Huitong has dubbed PL-20 as the name for the Sino-Meteor missile, and I can't see any mention of the "6 BVRAAM internal carry for J-20" on the other entries now either.


But it was fairly recent that I think people were under the assumption that a new BVRAAM to allow J-20 to carry 6 weapons internally was in advanced development, so I'm interested as to what, if anything has recently changed on that front.

I've wondered whether the 6 BVRAAM missiles are PL-15 with folded fins or a smaller variant of PL-15.

So the PLAAF is not going for a staggered launch mechanism to get around the issue and instead is opting for a new missile altogether ?

Pardon, if I missed something, but what forum rules prohibit to post the link, the certain important part as a quote and your own thoughts or conclusions?!

Well, the forum is in Chinese, so I'd have to provide a translation, and I don't speak Chinese. Or, it's the difference between link and post the link, the certain important part as a quote and your own thoughts or conclusions. Ultimately it's about the arbitrariness of some of the rules and (much more) about the selective enforcement from the moderators.

... so you mean the rules of the original Chinese forum and not ours here?
