As a person who justifies the West's genocidal method of land grabbing as legitimate while simultaneously claiming illegitimacy of China's rule of Tibet that saw increase of Tibetian population, life expectancy, and standard of livings, you are in no way qualified to lecture someone on credibility.

If an existence of a central government exist, then it isn't a fight for independence but a fight between two nations. As for that yard stick to quantify whether some violence is a fight for independence or not, it doesn't exist outside of your own delusion.

Why can't China establish a presence in Antartica when many other Western countries have a presence there? The US for example doesn't even rectify the UN declaration that Antartica belongs to all humanity, so may be you should ask the US whether they are trying to "establish a historical presence in the region so she to can mine the resources there when permitted."
