Finally some good news on the recoverable rocket front after some high profile failures…
I wouldn't be too dispirited by the other two failures: Both were first landing attempts for their respective launch vehicles, and in both instances, the primary mission of getting to orbit succeeded, and they also got some way towards their landings. Neither SpaceX or Blue Origin nailed their landings on the first go - SpaceX took many attempts, for example. There's a lot of competence displayed by these organisations, so I think they'll get there. :)

Those failures are what progress looks like. I'm prepared to see a lot more failures than that, as long as they learn and improve on each iterations they'll get there in time.

I'm thinking if this cable recovery method turns out to be reliable then it will be made available to the commercial players as well, this is how China generally operates.
