Have any other Chinese EV companies done this? Just curious. For a car company, this is an impressive feat.
I believe Geely/GeeSpace is the only one that actually is the OEM for their satellites, most of the time you see companies using existing systems, Huawei or something like Tiantong, that is about the closest you will get.

Others have invested in certain systems, Xiaomi Auto for example has patent filings for their own satellite communications in car, which could point to something in the future, Lei Jun has also invested in financing rounds for GalaxySpace via his fund. The only other thing I can think of is the naming of a satellite which Hozon/Nezha did, for a PR stunt type of thing, which was the 桐乡哪吒汽车号 (Tongxiang Nezha Auto) satellite as part of the Tianmu-1 series of satellites.

So GeeSpace is sort of alone in this. But to also be fair, GeeSpace is under the holding group, it's not technically under the car brand itself.

The new bidding for Qianfan sat launch has learned from the lessons of the last failed bidding and lowered the bidding threshold to allow 10 satellites being launched in a group: 4x10 sat launches (2.8t to 950km) + 3x18 (4.8t to 800km) to near-polar orbit.
Sailspace once again announced the failure of the rocket launch service tender: the tender for a rocket launch service carrying 10 satellites due to insufficient number of suppliers registering, which was less than three
