But in the Boeing proposal, they use a rocket to boost the payload into space and orbital insertion.

Didn't the Chinese approach have a Spaceplane riding on it and not just a rocket?

You need to at least strap rocket boosters to the space plane to get it into space. This matches with the timeline provided by China — first stage vehicles will lift over vertically and land horizontally but is partially recoverable.

The final goal is a rocket powered space-plane as 2nd stage. But there may be an intermediate step to use rocket as the 2nd stage according to study paper by Long Lehao 2018.

Here is the paper

Looks like that HERD experiment with Europe has been confirmed:
"The experiments being sent up to the new space station encompass numerous fields. Zhang is the principal investigator for HERD (High Energy Cosmic-Radiation Detection facility), which is a partnership involving Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Germany, slated for 2027. This particle detector will study dark matter and cosmic rays, and will cost some 1 billion to 2 billion yuan (US$155 million to $310 million), says Zhang."
Wow... $310m for an experiment!! If I am not mistaken, someone here mentioned the Tianhe core costed around that or slightly less. Now in this picture I've attached, HERD is attached to a new module. Perhaps that's also coming?

The real shocker in that picture is the China-Italy module. Is that real? It looks legit since the rest of the tiangong modules are represented accurately.
